Ink fingerprinting is the traditional and widely accepted method used by agencies across the U.S. With this “ink and roll” technique, each finger is rolled from nail edge to nail edge to capture clear, full impressions. All fingers are then placed at a 45° angle to complete the set—ideal for background checks, licensing, employment, and out-of-state requirements.
The FD-258 fingerprint card, approved by the FBI, is the standard fingerprint card used for:
· Employment & licensing
· Background checks
· Concealed carry & firearms permits
· Out-of-state or federal requirements
· School district & healthcare requirements
· Legal name changes & immigration-related process
